A 200 m full pavement rebuild that used the reconstruction to correct decades of poor drainage grading, not just resurface.
This 200 m stretch of collector road got a major rehabilitation rather than a resurfacing: the entire pavement structure, granular base included, along with State of Good Repair work on curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveways. The collector road sits in an industrial area and was last reconstructed roughly 40 years earlier, leaving it with extensive surface cracking and deterioration.
Survey work in MicroStation turned up deficient crossfalls as low as 0.0 to 0.2 percent and longitudinal grades too flat for positive drainage, the kind of underlying problem a simple resurfacing can’t fix. Because the scope was a full rehabilitation, the design could adjust the road’s longitudinal profile and elevations directly, regrading with cuts of up to about 55 mm at curb and gutter. Post-rehabilitation, longitudinal slopes now run 0.35 to 0.5 percent, with crossfalls between 1 and 4 percent. Designed January 2026 to February 2026.
